Many thanks for your mails and your advice. I appreciate it so much.
I am so happy to have been accepted to participate in the Miyakojima triathlon. I don’t have much confidence but from the beginning of December have been training quite hard.
My training plan is as follows:
Swim 3K (3 times a week, maybe one time 3.5 K or 4K). Last week I swam 2.5 k three times without tiredness and so your mail gave me some confidence.
Bike, twice a week. Last week both bike rides were 90K, and approximately 1/3 being quite big hills. I plan to keep one ride at 90k and the other at either 120k or 140k. The longer ride being much hillier. Again my recovery is fine.
Run, 3-4 times a week. Last week, 3 runs of 10K. I plan to build one run to 20K and then build another run to 20K. I think that I really need to build my running fitness.
When I look at my time in Izena I was quite disappointed with my bike time compared with Tokunoshima in June. When I look at my diary I realize that I really didn’t train so much on the bike since then.
I am so motivated now and thank you again for your advice, especially regarding nutrition. As I always want to lose weight I never take enough calories during the race. From now I hope to lose 7-8KG and be in good shape for Miyakojima. During the race、however I’ll be sure to take many power bars.
I really enjoyed meeting you and Eyama san in Izena and look forward to meeting you again in Miyakojima.
Thank you again for all your help.
Wishing you and your family a very happy new year.
